At AstraZeneca, a leading pharmaceutical company operating in over 100 countries, we are seeking an Application Engineer to join our Commercial IT - Market Access domain. This role involves managing confidential transactions related to payments, contracts, and pricing across global markets. As a key player in Market Access projects, you'll engage with end users, business process owners, and vendors, driving process optimization and innovation while ensuring compliance with SOx guidelines. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining excellence aligned with AstraZeneca's standards.
Accountabilities:
- Advanced troubleshooting and development of fixes for issues across the Market Access platform (Model N, Validata, Anaplan, Revvy, and Veeva).
- Conduct root cause analysis and ensure end-to-end resolution.
- Proactively analyze and validate product issues with SaaS providers, evaluating solutions to suit AstraZeneca's needs.
- Drive continuous improvement by analyzing current support and business processes.
- Maintain constant communication with stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ensure alignment with regulatory SOx guidelines and procedures.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent spoken and written English language skills.
- Ability to grasp and understand new technologies and concepts, especially in AI.
- Ability to prioritize based on business needs and criticality.
- Proficiency in ETL technologies.
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux and shell scripting.
- Elementary knowledge of Python.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow audit processes closely.
- Good stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate technical terms into day-to-day communication for business users.
- Excellent analytical skills such as brainstorming, active listening, observation, assessment, interpretation, problem-solving, and fact-checking.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- 3+ years of professional experience
- Proficient use of incident management tools for support projects.
- Knowledge of SOx audit controls and quality management.
- Familiarity with MoSCoW prioritization methodology.
- Experience with Agile methodology for optimizing continuous improvement efforts.
- Hands-on experience with Model N, Anaplan, Revvy CLM, Informatica and/or Snaplogic, ServiceNow, Jira.
